• Our start date is Sunday September 25, 2022.  for Confirmation including Middle School and High School Youth groups. Parents and youth will attend the 11:00am Mass and come over to the parish center for a simple meal following Mass (12:00 to 12:50pm).
• We break into groups at 12:50. Parents will meet in the parish office-this is required of Confirmation parents but all parents are welcome) and the MS and HS youth will remain in the parish center with Middle School and High School Groups divided. We will regroup at 1:50 pm in the Church for 10-15 minutes of adoration & prayer.  Our gathering will end at 2:00 pm.

• Mark Your Calendars! Our Confirmation Retreat will be an overnight NET retreat here on the CTK campus on Friday afternoon March 17th through Saturday evening, March 18th, 2023. The Confirmation Retreat is an archdiocesan requirement. 
• Confirmation preparation happens through participation in our parish youth group
• Becasue of the excellent formation recieved, youth who have graduated from Christ the King Parish School or youth who regularly attended the parish Youth Group for the school year of 21/22 are eligible to enter their 2nd year of formation and receive the Sacrament of Confirmation the following late spring of 2023.  Youth who have not attended the parish school or have not participated regularly in our parish youth group, would be considered on a case-by-case basis to assess the level of formation.  For those youth needing further formation, the Confirmation team, along with parents, will create a hybridized way forward.
• Parents will take an active part in their child's Confirmation preparation.
• The usual participation requirements for Confirmation and parents will remain, such as attending Mass every Sunday and Holy Day, parish service hours, attendance and a Confirmation Retreat Experience. 
• The fee is $90. (this helps (not entirely) to cover costs for the retreat, supplies, material etc).  If anyone has a hardship, scholarships are available.  Please see Julie Onderko or David Ochoa and your situation will be discreetly addressed.  No one will be denied the preparation experience or the sacrament for finiancial reasons.

Confirmation Preparation is offered for the High School youth of Christ the King parish.  Families who are members of the parish demonstrate this in visible ways by:

• Attending weekly Sunday Mass
• Being active in parish life through any of our numerous apostolates and
• Through their financial support the parish

• Can my son or daughter come for Confirmation Preparation and receive the sacrament if I am a member of another parish?
  • No.  Your children should be prepared and receive the sacraments through your own parish.
• Are there exceptions? If you have the written permission of your pastor, we will consider it on a case by case basis according to our resources and the entire situation.
• Can we join Christ the King so our children can go through Confirmation?
  • Yes, conditionally.  If your family is looking for a parish to join then we welcome you with open arms!  Often, it is at the time of sacramental preparation (baptisms, First Communions & Confirmation) that families will return to the practice of the Faith.  We want very much to foster this deepening of a life in Christ. 
  • No, if parents intend to “register” simply to get into the program. 
• What if we are new to the parish?
  • If you are new to the parish and new to Confirmation, parents will need to meet with our pastor early on in the process (within 2 months).  Our Pastoral Assistant, Jenett Akles can make that appointment for you.  Email is best, office@ctk.cc
