Adult Faith Formation:

A.F.F. mission is to bring Adult Catholic Education

into our parish.  This will include our Catholic faith, spiritually, family education,  aging, and other important issues.

Those youth in the 5th grade or up involved in serving at the Masses.

 

Altar Society:

This is open to all women in the parish.  They care for the immediate needs of the altar.  They coordinate catering for receptions and for parish events.

 

Baptism Preparation Classes:

This group helps deal with loss of a loved one.

Tuesday mornings at 9:00 AM in the parish center

Wednesday evenings at 6:30 in the school

Brother Andre's Café:  Mark Bianco 503-631-4027

This group collects food and serves it to the homeless in down town Portland once a month. 

 

Choirs:  Nancy Chiodo

Christ the King has 2 contemporary and 1 traditional choirs for the weekend Masses.

This is a group that every Friday morning does the cleaning and cares of the Church.

 Decorating and flowers for the church.

 

Coffee Social:  Mae & Dave Card 503-653-6198

 Helps to maintain the coffee & donuts hospitality after Sunday Masses

These people help at Mass by distributing Communion. 

 

Eucharistic Ministry Hospital:

These people help by taking Communion to those

from the parish who are hospitalized. 

 

Eucharistic Ministry Sick: Mary Ann Holliman 503-698-8419

These people help by taking Communion to those from the parish who are homebound.   

  

Greeters and Gifts:  Donna Bishop 503-722-9945

Welcomes and extends hospitality to the parish during the weekend Masses.  They also bring up the Gifts to the altar during Mass.

Assists anyone who is in need of help; moving etc.

Job Search Group:

This group meets once a month to give guidance and support to the unemployed.

This is a fraternal service organization that meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM.

Welcomes returning Catholics back to the church.

Those who are planning to get married in the church are required to go through a series of instructions.

 

Mary's Guild:  Mary Stoering 503-775-7411

They meet every Thursday at 10:00 AM to pray for our Parish, visit the sick and make calls on those who are grieving. 

 

Multicultural Group:   Medi Saqueton 503-760-7710

This is a group formed from the many different cultures that attend Christ the King.  They want to share their heritages with the rest of the parish.

  

Peace and Justice: Diane Kintz 503-698-4702

Grounded in prayer and Catholic Social Teaching, seeks to inspire our community to action through education and advocacy.

 

Pioneers:  Millie Manion  503-654-2457

This is a social organization for the senior citizens.  They meet on the second Friday of each month at noon.  They have pot lucks, play games and plan many fun activities and trips.

Readers and Commentators:

They meet every Thursday at 7:00 PM.  This group meets to help those in our area with special needs such as emergency food, clothing, lodging, and other.

This group takes up the collection and the dismissing for Communion
